Akpabio, Dangote Called Me To Delete My Tweets During Osun Election — Davido

Davido
Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that Senate President Godswill Akpabio and billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote called him during the Osun State governorship election and asked him to delete tweets he had shared about the election.

Davido made the revelation while recounting events surrounding his social media activity during the election. According to the singer, he received calls from both influential figures concerning the posts he had made about developments during the electoral process.

The singer said he declined to delete the tweets, maintaining that he wanted his posts to remain online until the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially concluded the process and announced the result.

Davido's revelation has drawn attention because of the prominence of the two individuals he said contacted him, particularly their alleged interest in his social media posts during a closely watched election in Osun State.

The singer has remained vocal about political issues and has frequently used his large social media following to comment on events in Nigeria. His latest claim has once again sparked discussions about the influence of celebrities and social media personalities during elections.
